‘The Heat Is On!’ is an internal campaign at Waitrose to encourage more efficient refrigeration management this summer, across the organisation. During the summer refrigeration systems at Waitrose stores are placed under additional pressure to perform due to increased temperatures and customers requiring more fresh, frozen or chilled goods.
Supreme developed the overall campaign theme ‘The Heat Is On’ with supporting statements such as ‘Unless it’s cold, it can’t be sold’ to help to create a memorable and easily-understood campaign that would resonate well with the branch managers and their staff.
The campaign was sent out to every Waitrose branch manager in the UK and Channel Islands in a polystyrene ‘cool box’ and contained a kit of parts for the branch managers to run the campaign locally in their store. Included in the box was a booklet with all relevant information and further help, a series of posters to hang in staff areas instore, a set of table toppers to be used in staff canteens and other campaign support materials.
